Breakdown Tracking Matrix

Dear Experts,

Our Client wants a report for tracking Breakdowns in the following format.

Equipment Brkdown Description Apr May June........

A Winding burnt 2 0 0

Bearing Failure 0 0 1

Client is using Notification process to record the breakdown in SAP , in which they are entering the Eqpt , long text and dates , but not entering the damage code , cause code etc.

So, how Breakdown Reason can be captured in a Notification ?

What is the table link between Equipment & Notification ?

What is the reason for not using the damage code/breakdown code ? SAP has provided the std functionality for this process. You cann very will filter on code grops in IW28/29.

Thanks sarang for ur reply.

The users are entering the breakdown information in Text/Long Text and hence not entering the damage code/breakdown code in Notifications. I have informed the client that without entering the damage code/breakdown code in Breakdown Notifications , it is not possible to get this report.

Hope they will start using this functionality.

Pls give the table link between Equipment & Notification , Notification & Damage Codes.

Hi Sheik,

For table link between Notification & Eqpts and Notification & Damage codes look into table QMEL,QMFE and notification no is common to both ..

EQUI (equipment) and VIQMEL (Notification) and QMFE (Damage Code)
