How can I set the field "Service Mater Number"(ESLL-SRVPOS) of the External Processing Operation is Required?

I'm assuming you only want to set this field as mandatory if the user enters some other data in the Service Item line???

Hi,

I think SAP standard validates the value entered. msg " Service number entered (&&) does not exist" msg SE301 gets displayed on wrong input.

At the last step ML81N,Maintain the Service Entry,the system will check the Service Master Number.So My client needs control it at the process beginning.

Hi Yinjun,

We had done this. i.e Service Mater Number mandatory of the External Processing Operation in Maintenance Order.

For this u will need help of your MM team and this can be done.

As far as i remember in MM config setting for External Services Management>>>>Maintain Conditions for Services. Select the correct procedure and then that setting can be done.

This can be done in respect to order type.
