Question about Inherit concept of EasyDMS with ACL function.

Hi experts,

I have little trouble with my using EasyDMS and ACL functions which is authorizations is not inherited for belows objects (like documents & folders) if belows objects has no authozations.

so user can be access and control belows objects with only DMS authorization profile (for example 'C_DRAW_TCD').

This situation means that user has to be created authorizations for each document. Because authorizations is not inherited from own folder's authorizations, if document has no authorizations.

This is correct?

Symptom is seems fairly clear. Because at the moment of create authorizations every authorization, their own authrization is being inherited and created from above folder. But this is very annoying things to user. Not simple operation.

Is there any more efficiency way to handle this? I will waiting for your great wisdom.

hello..

if you want to set acls while document creation then set registry autoinheritauth =1, read notes on registry entries...this will inherit acls while document creation...

acls will not be created automatically for the user. you must click cerate admin auth on authorization tab

Hi Surjit,

Your reply is very very helpful. Thanks in first.

Where should I add DWORD value in HKCU? There is no specific location in note 1367514. Just noted HKCU Registry Values and Entry.

Whatever I've created in 'AutoInheritedAuth' in belows '\HKCU\Software\SAP\EasyDms', but I think it is not affect anything. Either '1' or '0' of value 'AutoInheritedAuth', User has to create ACLs and inheriting behavior is occurred (it means not affect I think.)

What is meaning or usage these Registry value? Could you kindly explain more for this?

Thanks in advanced,

Yeum
