performance intensive action

HI all,

Suppose that for particular two characteristics in DP, we hve characteristic values 25 and 150 (approximately). When I try to view the data in the planning book at the detailed level of these characteristics, which means, i shoul be able to see 25*150 rows, I am being showed a message that it is performance intensive action and that if this has to be continued or not. When I press YES, I am getting the dump error MESSAGE_TYPE_X. Why is that a software like SAP is not even able to handle around 2500 rows. Please explain to me the technical reason(may be associated with DP memory (Live Cache) or the max paging memory or ....) behind this.

I don't understand your question. We are using SCM 7. By the way, where should I set the GUI level for a planning book?
