attach zip file to email in 4.6C via workflow

Hi!

I'm trying to attach a zip file to an email. I'm using 4.6C. Is it possible in workflow to attach a zip file? I've tried using object: selfitem but the zip file is not attached to the email. Is there any other object that I can use?

Do you mean attach it programmatically (if so: how are you doing it), or as a workflow user?

Is FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 available in your version? You could try it with doc_type = ZIP, not sure if it's allowed.

Okay, try it in straight ABAP first then, see if it works.

I've already tried it. But it cannot seem to find the zip file. No attachements made.

What we are trying to do is convert payslip to pdf then zip it before sending it thru lotus notes. Is there any other way that we can send a protected file thru email?

It's not returning any error? Try running it in debug mode.
