Hi,

The requirements class is determined from the requirements type of the material. The requirements class is the controlling factor for the availability check and transfer of requirements for all sales documents types. The system uses the entries at requirements class level as a default and brings the data into the sales order. The schedule line category is used to fine-tune the settings at requirements class level. The requirements class is the key factor in the transfer of requirements. The requirements type and, eventually, requirements class are determined in the strategy group tcode MM02 - MRP 3 view under planning.

The requirements class contains all control features for planning such as relevance for

planning, requirements planning strategy and requirements consumption strategy. In

addition, it is specified at a global level whether an availability check is to take place for

the material in the sales and distribution documents on the basis of the ATP quantity

(ATP = available to promise) and whether requirements are to be passed on. A finer

degree of control can be obtained for sales documents using the schedule line category.

Replenishment lead time is only included in the check performed on the basis of the

ATP quantity.

Hi Geetika,

Requirement class having all the control parameters which required for sales and distribution.The requirement class is the controlling factor for the availability check and the TOR for all sales document types.

You are configuring the requirement class and do the necessary settings. Sales document determine it from the item category and MRP type of material and requirement processed as per the setting of requirement class.
