Hello Sap Experts,

I have a problem when trying to implement the support package SAPKNA7016, in a system ECC 6.0 on AIX 5.3 operating system and an Oracle database 10.2.

In the transaction SPAM when it was importing the Support Package, stopped by an error that occurred at the stage DDIC_ACTIVATION. showing me the following details:

- Error in Phase: DDIC_ACTIVATION

- Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE

- Return code. 0012

- Error message: OCS Package SAPKNA7016, tp step A, return code 0012.

This issue, I have also blocked the transport system, because when I try to import a transport in the STMS transaction, this shows me the following error:

OCS locked by user WVELASQUEZ with transaction SPAM.

Hello Wilmer,

Check SAPANA7016 logfile in the trans/log and check what is the error in this log file.

This is the log file for the DDIC_ACTIVATION of SAPKNA7016 package.

Check and paste the error.

Hello Wilmer,

So, the error is - "Object information could not be imported" which is occuring for several objects.This is due to a bug in R3trans.

The problem is descriped in note #1417505.

So the solution is :

1. Updating tp and R3trans to the latest level available at the marketplace.

2. Resetting the queue.

3. Defining the same queue again and starting import using the latest transport tools - tp and R3trans.

But you can't reset the queue by yourself so you'll have to raise a OSS message so that SAP can reset the queue.

Which R3trans and tp versions are you using?

We used #236 the ones included with the latest NW70 SPS21 and we had similar issue.

We have opened a message with SAP support and the issued new versions for TP & R3trans (patch #249).

It should fix the problem but it doesn't....

SAP support has reset our queue status in SPAM, STMS and PAT0 1& PAT03 tables, but

now we fail in the TEST_IMPORT.

SAP is actually working on a new version for tp program.

I guess your best bet is to open a message with SAP and report the error.

Hi Niraj,

I know it is super late to ask a question on this thread again.

I am encountering the same problem but SAP replies that they will not be able to reset the queue and they are asking me to revert the system to older state with an available backup.

Is it not possible for SAP to reset the queue since it is in DDIC_ACTIVATION phase?

Simply download and replace the R3trans and tp programs with the latest ones ( >=249) on SAP MarketPlace.

Then restart the queue.

If you fail in step 'DDIC_ACTIVATION', you will need SAP assistance to 'reset' the queue.

Hello Wilmer,

It is not recommended to reset the queue in DDIC_ACTIVATION phase.

just check the complete activation log , check what is the error.

In your AIX system run tp-v to know the tp version.Try to update the latest tp from Marketplace.Reset the queue & import again.

Hello Wilmer, As suggested by Juan - could you paste the errors logs ?

Also, At OS level /usr/sap/trans/log check for SLOG and ALOG files and paste the extract here.
