TemplateEngine not found

I recently bought and installed Crystal Reports 2008 after testing some inline RAS features in the trial version.

I can't find the

CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.TemplateEngine

assebly to include it in the project.

What's going on?

Is that assembly in a different package or I forgot to install something?

Not sure. I have it on my CR 2008 box. Check the version of your CR 2008. At minimum, it should be 12.0.0.840. If it is not, download SP2 from [here|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/_{sapidp/012002523100009038092009E/cr2008win_sp2.exe]. I'd also recommend [FP 2.5|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/}sapidp/012002523100002975192010E/cr2008fp25.exe]

I downloaded an installed the sample packs but was unable to use the feature

ADAPT01134643 was about the same issue but a long time ago. Can you check the status on it?

Hi Ido;

Thank you for the heads up on that one. The ADAPT was for the templateengine assembly missing from the runtime distribution in CR 12 SP0. Reported fixed in SP 1.

Open the CR designer and go to the Help menu. Select About Crystal Reports. What is the full version reported here?

Version 12.0.0.683 is SP 0.

Download SP1:

Apply that, then download SP2:

https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100009038092009E/cr2008win_sp2.exe

and apply that.
