Profit Center input in delivery note creation

Hi Guys,

We have a scenario where there is a common finished product being produced in three different production lines. All these three production lines are to be treated as three different profit centers.

Therefore at the time of creating delivery note and shipping the goods the logistics will identify and input the profit center. The profit center field in delivery note creation is not editable. We need this field to be in editable mode as to record the proper profit center in delivery note and further which will be fetched in billing for revenue recording.

As per the standard the system calls the profit center in delivery note from sales order. But in our scenario Profit center is to be determined at time of delivery note creation.

If any one came across such scenario please let me know how can we handle such scenario.

I don't think it is possible to edit the profit center at the delivery document level. That field gets copied from sales order.

Hi,

you can only assign one profit center to a material on plant level.

At the time of delivery order it is not possible to set the profit center but you can set the profit center in the sales order. At the

time of sales order the following derivation possibilities for profit center exist:

1. real CO account assignment

2. enter profit center manually

3. substitution

4. profit center from material master

As the delivery order is a subsequent document of the sales order you have to set the profit center in the sales order.

You can try tcode OKC9 (CO substitution) to see if your requirement can be met
