assignment of shipping point to plant

Hi ,

I have defined plant and shipping point at the respective nodes in IMG,but in the assignment I am not able to see the plant I defined .However I can see the shipping point which I can assign to any other plant.

Any pointers/thoughts?

Please check whether you have done the given assignment or not?

Company code to plant

Plant to sales org.

Hi Vishwa,

if you have created your plant by copying plant 1200. Since plant 1200 is assigned to company code 1000, Your newly created plant is also assigned automatically to plant 1000.

so go to assignemts ( assign plant to company code) find the 1000 company to code and delete your plant from there.. then you can assign ur plant to your own company code.. and also assign the shipping point to plant.

Define Plant in

1.Enterprise structure u2013 Definition u2013 Logistics

2.Logistics Execution define your shipping point.

In Assignment

1. Logistics General - Assign plant to company code

2. SD - Assign sales organization - distribution channel u2013 plant.

3. Logistics Execution - Assign shipping point to plant

In t-code OVL2 do the Shipping pt determination.

Have you defined you shipping point from scratch or did you copy it.

It happened to us that we copied a shipping point and it got assigned to the same plant the original shipping point was assigned to.

If this is the case for you too, then you need to remove the assigment for your shipping point to any other plant.

Check the same in OVXC.

Please check table TVKWZ if the plant is assigned to the Sales Org / Distribution Channel.

Check the Plant assignments in T Code OVX6.
