Hi experts,

The scenario is concerning package industry. Plz help to solve. Many thanks.

A scenario:

1 pc material A contains 1 pc A1 & 2 pcs A2.

Q1: If selling A1 only, must A1 be assigned another material number as to directly create sales order? Any other better solutions?

B scenario:

1 pc material B contains 1 pc B1 & 2 pcs C1. 1 pc B1 contains 1 gram B11 & 2 pcs B12.

2 pcs C1 contains 4 pcs C11.

Q2: When selling B as kit sales, how to show B11, B12 & C11 as well in sales

order & delivery? U know, B1 & C1 are only used to deduct storage when delivery.

Q3: If selling B1 only, must B1 be assigned another material number as to directly create sales order? or use sales bom?

Hi Cathy

as Sai already replied to you, you need to maintain a BOM for each kit you sell.

In the sales process of BOM, you need to consider, whether your main item in this case material A, material B or material C should be relevant for pricing and the subsequent sub-items A1, ...not or the subitems relevant and the main item not.

You control this through the item category group in material master (sales org 2).

Go to CS01 - create BOM, choose your plant and BOM usage 5.

First of all, many thanks for your valuable advice.

I still got some questions. Plz help further.

Q11: Is it no chance to make pricing at item level as well as at header? U know, the customer quotes header price for his clients while makess statistics on pricing at item level.

Q12: Is it no chance to make pricing & inventory control separately? For e.g., pricing at header level while inventory control at item.

Q13: Whatever ERLA or LUMF, it is possible to use components only to create sales order? U know, the customer may just sell & deliver one component from kit sales.

Create all materials as standard materials. For kits you can set up BOM based on the requirements as mentioned in your mail. You can Explode the BOM in the order and it will show all the items.
