BOM clarificaiton

Hi Masters,

I am unable to understand the BOM i check CS02 and found there is single componant against single item, but when i see the same item in CS12 then there are multiple componant, Kindly clear me what is the diff. in both the tcode...

CS02 will show child material cosumption for a parent material whereas

For CS12 it will show entire BOM/Alternate BOM available,If u enter required quantity in selection it will show u consumption all BOM Quantities.

Dear Vijay,

if you have Alt BOM'S, then in CS02 ( initial screen ) you have option to select the Required Alt BOM

Same case in CS12 also, you can select in initial screen for required Alt BOM

If you use tcode cs11 it will give the BOM explode level by level.Which explodes all the levels of materials

Pl. explain why so?
