bad query structure - query extremly slow from Crystal...

Hello,

we have been using Crystal Reports for years and we would need some assitence regarding an issue that has emerged lately.

Briefly, we have a bad query structure on our when a specific query is launched from crystal reports on our MS SQL SERVER. Copying the exact same query in the query analyzer the query takes 3 seconds, the same query coming from Crystal Reports takes 40 seconds (we followed everything via SQL PROFILER). We noticed that the query structure is compleatly different even though we copy pasted the same query in the analyzer. Is there some way to fix this at crystal reports level?

Looking from the SQL PROFILER we are not able to understand why the server interprests the query coming from Crystal in this way.

Crystal is in this version:

8.5.0.217 (CR DEVELOPER, product type FULL, CRW32 8.5.0.217)

thanks

Hello,

All I can suggest is you go to the download page by clicking on Businessobjects tab above and then downloads and fill in the info. The updates to our database drivers were in the Database and Export patch.

If that doesn't work then you have to upgrade to CR 2008. CR 8.5 has been out of support for about 10 years now.

Thank you
