Hi Team
We are working on SAP PI upgrade 7.1 project. We upgraded u2018Developmentu2019 & u2018 Quality Systemu2019 from 3.1 to 7.1. Production upgrade is one month from now, but due to some emergency we want to move few objects from QA (version 3.1) to Production (version 7.1). Will it work? Is there any other impact?
Please reply as soon as possible.. Thanks in advance..
Thanks
Raju

PI 7.1 developments cannot be imported to XI 3.0.

Dev to QA and QA to PROD transport are similar.....just that now you will do transport for QA (3.1) to PROD (7.1).....the objects should still work.

No, you cannot move PI 7.1 objects to a PI 3.0 or PI 7.0 system.
If it an emergency, you have to maintain the objects direct in prod system.

Hi Raju,
I think so your question is your moving from QA 7.1 to Production 3.1
Actually in our project we had requirement where we passed message mapping from 7.1 to 7.0 not (3.1)
In that case we confirmed that we havent used any new function that is available only in 7.1 not in 7.0.
If you use such function then message mapping will fail in that case. We passed message mapping by creating tpz file. Then imported that TPZ file into PI 7.0. But for this you need to change status of message mapping as editable.
