No Value updation for material ref. to storage location

Hi,

I want to know that can we do the settings like as Qty. nd value update is conrol with Material type but I want to control it ref. to storage location ,, if material is received in storage location XYZ then only qty. to be increse for that storage location there should not be any value update also this XYZ storage location should not be add in total stock of material.

value updation or quantity updation is not possible at storage level.

storage location is not separate, It is always with plant only

Hi

Valution control is not specifc to storage location. Incase if you have a requirement to keep some stock under non valuted category for some time then you should use GR 103 movement instead of 101 GR. Then the material will be in your stores with valuating in your plant.

Hi,

Quantity and Value updation can be done only in the combination of Valuation Area and Material Type.

Valuation Area can be either Plant or company code only.

Hi,

One point you note is material is always valuated at plant level not at storage location level.

So once GR is done, stock level will increase and you want valuate for the said storage location, you better you define the storage location as plant.
