Implications of SP upgrade from SP19 to SP 20

We are planning to upgrade our Netweaver Portal from Netweaver 7.0 SP 19 to SP 20. As we have other systems integrated with this portal, I want to knwo teh implication of this SP upgrade on other systems liek SRM, CRM etc.

The current scenario is :

Portal Netweaver is version 7.0 SP 19

SRM is on SRM 7.0

CRM is on version 7.0

BI is on version 7.0

Netweaver ABAP stack BIT is run with BW 7.01 (EhP1 SP 5)

Netweaver Java stack EAQ is run with BW 7.00.

Please let me know the best reccomended version of upgrade so that the existing systems like SRM, CRM and all wont be affected much. Also please suggest if along with the portal upgrade we will have to get these systems also upgraded of whether it will be compatible with the new SP version of netweaver.

My doubt is whether the netweaver upgrate we do will affect other systems like SRM, CRM, BI etc badly? What are the chances of them getting affected? Any inputs on these would be highly appreciated.

you can always upgrade to latest service pack level .

But it is always better one behind the SP level. Suppose if the latest Serveice pack is SP 21 then you can upgrade to SP 20.
