Application has a problem - SAP CRASH

Hi,

A month before we upgraded from SAP 2005 to 2007 version for our client. after upgrade all add-ons worked fine. we had only one problem for one user defined table numbering generation problem that too resolved using some document numbering patch. after march month we created new numbering series for all documents including user defined(financial year change) . but one of our inspection add-on totally reacting in different way.

1) when ever we try to add respective inspection document or when ever we clicking respective inspection document numbering series(administration -> document numbering). it showing following error popup.

Application has a probelm.diagnostic file C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\Log\sapbusiness one _XXX.dmp was created.please contact support and attach diagnostic file. if any coding related error we can troubleshoot easily. but we are getting sap oriented issues frequently after upgrade. any suggestion will help tons.

SAP crashes on all computers or only for specific user? Did you tried to delete smsobs temp folder?

Try to delete this UDT and create it again (backup datas and than restore it to new table), it could solve your problem.

Have you got your add-on recompiled to fit the new data structure? If not, this must be done.

thanks For your suggestions.

While clicking on document numbering (document numbering adding/edit for particular document) or while adding those user defined document its happening for all users. creating UDT again will create plenty of work for us. that inspection add-on contains nearly 14 UDT and 7 UDO. and thousands of data. will try deleting the folder you specified and will let you know.

please give us any suggestions if you have.

please explain your suggestion in detail.

what you mean by add-on recompiled for new data structure.

why because we are getting error even if add-on is not connected also.

when ever we clicking respective inspection document numbering series(administration -> document numbering for UDO created) also, it showing error popup. which doesnt need any add-on installed. please explain. its totally stopped all the work flow.

hi,

its in-house developed . its working fine for the last two years, recently we upgraded sap from 2005 to 2007 and also we upgraded add-on with respect to 2007 version. then also worked fine.suddenly its happened after financial year change.

This indicates a possible bug in your coding. The problem may not happen until certain conditions satisfied.

Hi,

This is the same problem I am facing for the last 2 days. I have developed an addon which was running fine for the last financial year . Suddenly when we created new financial year, I created new Document Series for the AddOn UDO . But this started creating some unexpected problems . Without even having Addon connected to B1 ,when We select or try to perform any change on newly created Document Series , System Crashes . If it would be something related to AddOn , the System should not behave this way even when the add-on is not connected.

Please Suggest the cause and solutions to overcome this issue.
