solution manager system copy

Dear All,

Since there is no specific guide for Solution Manager system copy, will NW7 Abap+Java guide will do?

At sapinst, do i use NW7 system export or SAP CRM system export?

Hello Mohammad,

There is no specifc system copy guide for Solution Manager - Please use the "normal" Netweaver guide to accomplish this. However, please pay attention that there are some "parts" eg. RFC's, CCMS-Alerts, EWA-data, ... are not being used the exact same way.

Since we are using the NW7 guide, should we use NW7 media(sapinst) to do the export? or should we use the solman media? Have you ever done this?

Hello Mohammad,

Since what you are trying to accomplish is Solution Manager Copy then you would need to use the Solman media but using the documentation from NW.

I have done multiple Solman installs as I do support Solman for SAP.

Hi Mark,

we are using solman 7.2 SP7 split stack and want a refresh from prod to Dev to make the dev sync with prod, can we do the activity by using SWPM export/import method

and also we have DB mssql...so shall we use DDboost tool to do back and restore for abap and swpm for java?
