PR release date

Hello,

I have read that the PR release date is calculated by:

Release date = date required (delivery date) - plant processing time - planned delivery time - GR processing time.

Q1. Is this calculation correct?

Q2. I read that the planned delivery time and GR processing time are only taken into account if the PR is created via MRP. Is this correct?

Thank you.

Your calculation for Release date of PR is correct provided the "Plant processing time" you mean is the "purchase department processing time". Purchase processing time is maintained in Customising in MRP plant parameters.

Yes, Planned delivery time is taken into account with MRP. However It is the planned delivery time mentioned in Material master that is considered by SAP when a Check box is not checked in transaction OMI8. If you check this in External procurement option under the head of 'Plant parameters' in that case Purchase Inforecord's planned delivery time is considered.

However, GR processing time is considered in either case with MRP or while manual creation.

Hi,

'Release date' term is PR creation date from MRP perspective.Planned delivery time and GR processing time comes into picture while doing forward scheduling during MRP.
