SAPehpi error in Downtime step

Former Member

Hello,

I am installing EHP4 using EHPI.

The EHPI errored out in the downtime phase with the following error:

SAPehpi broke during phase MOD_PFPAR_UPG in module MAIN_NEWBAS / Downtime II: Conversion, Main Import, XPRAs

Error Message: sappfpar failed with status 2

My SAP system is up, and it shows up the new Kernel. I can login using sap* user.

Any idea how I can proceed through this error?

Thanks,

Ajay

Hello Ajay,

Could you please check if the sappfpar binary executable is available under the exe folder of the EHP installation directory.

Hello Ajay,

this error is likely caused by some access permission/availability of the content of .../abap/exe directory. Please double check the sapehpi user access to this place as well as the current disk space.

Are you using a local or remote/NFS/mounted share point? FYI it's always a good idea to run sapehpi and have these folders available locally

Best regards,
