Sample Size that Has to Be Inspected for a Characteristic

Hi,

I want to enter results for 4 samples for a MIC in an inspection lot. For this i created a sampling procedure with fixed sample: 4 and valuation mode: 700 - Mean value with tolerance range in ECC 6.0 system and assigned it in Inspection plan for a MIC of Quantitative char. (lower/upper tolerance), LongTerm, Single results, Required char., ScpNotFixed.

But after this, i am not able to enter results for 4 ...as it shows only one Sample Size that Has to Be Inspected for a Characteristic in the inspection lot.

Could you please tell what is wrong in this?

Thanks in advance for ur quick response.

Regards,

Senthil Kumar A

Thanks for your reply.

Currently, the sample qty for that MIC in Inspection plan is same as Base qty of the operation. For example: 1 KG - both Base qty and sample base qty.

When I changed the sample qty to 0.01 KG, i could see 4 samples to be inspected in the lot.

I don't know the reason behind this.

(Note: The char is an optional char. In this case, what would be the impact?

and there is no inspection point assigned and no sample management active in sampling procedure)
