SMD Url doesn't show tabs other than "diagnostics Setup"

Hello,

We are on Solman EHP1 SP20 and are trying to setup Solman diagnostics.

When I launch url http://<hostname>:<port>/smd, I only see a tab for "diagnostics setup". I don't see any for "Root Cause Analysis" or "diagnostics Administration". I went through the setup wizard but still no luck. I logged on with the newly create user smd_admin and j2ee_admin.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi

Trey to run the solman_setup successfully. If everything is green, you should be able to login into /smd and see the entries.

It also should work over the solman_workcenter if you have the appropriate role.

Also ensure that the user through which you are calling solman_workcenter has the role SAP_SMWORK_DIAG assigned. You should be able to see the required tab then.

You're using the wrong transaction.

With SP18 or higher SP, you must use transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER

Just to clarify, as of EHP1(SP18) the RCA functionalities are no longer accessible through the URL http://<hostname>:<port>/smd. You have to access them by using transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER.
