Usage of heuristic in quota arrangement item

I have a question regarding quota arrangement master.

In quota arrangement item, there is a field for heuristic maintenance.

What is the purpose for this field and the usage ?

Hi Seung,

The input in this field, defines as to which heuristic is to be used to plan the quota arrangement item.

For example, we can heuristic SAP_PP_002 to plan the product using a periodic lot-sizing procedure.

While running heuristics the various parameters are partly dependent upon location product master settings and partly on configuration done in IMG. The heuristics entered in quota master data takes preference for that quota item.
