Remote Logon doesn't work.

Hi

In order to work with the backend system R/3 e.g. to call Function modules

or for follow up documents etc. there is a rfc user needed.

I have created one user RFCALEX (Usetyp Dialog) at the backend and passed

him the following Profiles SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW due to SU01.

I also have created a an RFC-Connection (SM59) on the SRM side to the Backend side

(Connection Type 3) have established all Technical Settings and

passed the user RFCALEX this RFC-Connection.

And now in the SRM when I call a backend function module

with the addition DESTINATION I get always the Logon Panel.

Although there is user given inside RFC-Connection (RFCALEX)

together with his password the Logon Panel pops up.

I have tried other Usetyps like Service and System a.s.. It was the same

as before. The "Connection Test" in the SM59 works well.

No error message. But Remote Logon doesn't work.

What do you think what could be wrong here.

Regards

Alex

Hi Freinds.

This is the solution

If password is wrong, this will happen.

Clearly:

The password must not have lower-case characters for remote users for RFC User.

Check with your Basis team. It is the way they might have configured so that you can't login in backend system through remote login. Generally Basis limit remote login in PRD environment.

muthu no problem

This is the entry in the table.. T90CLNT090 is the name of Rfc-Connection for the backend.

CLIENT LOG_SYS DEST SYS_TYPE RFC_POSS LOC_SYS FI_VALIDATION

100 T90CLNT090 T90CLNT090 ERP_1.0 X 0

I suppose I've forgotten something important.

what about srm logical system ? i dont see this table entry why?

Service and System no problem only problem with DIALOG?

generally why we do hesitate dialog keep sm59 user i.e not to misuse by others .

the object can be created with SM59 USERS ..THEN NO CLues who created this docuement.

Hi Alex

since you logged in DIALOG , already yuou were inside ECC system .from SRM system.

now you can perform any transactions in ECC .

Are you expecting LOG ON screens to login again?

it is SAP standard

muthu just very simple.

"Remote Logon" within SM59 doesn't logs me on the backend system. I only get LOG ON screen at the backend.

OK?? This was not my intention why I have entered RFC User' name and password within RFC-Connection

SM59. The Connection Test returns OK but not "Remote Logon". Any call of Backend Function Module

returns LOG ON screen too.

Alex,

Could you please check the password length for backend RFC user.

If your backend version is 4.6c or below. System will hold only the password with 8 char length.

Please check and let me know.

Hello Alexander,

Two more points to check:

i- is user's password the same in R/3 as the one used in SRM SM59 ?

ii- be sure "Current User" from "Logon & Security" tab is not set in your R/3 RFC connection defined in SM59.

Regards.

Laurent.
