ACL's Not Working

Former Member

Experts,

We are running ECC 6.0 and I have enabled ACL's in DMS through transaction DCSWI (IMG>>Cross-Application Components>>Document Management>>Control Data>>Activate ACL/Browser). I checked all the options including ACL Flag and Edit ACL. Then I went into a folder I created and changed the authorizations to only only certain users the ability to read the folder. This autorizations did not take effect. The users that have no permissions to the folder are still able to read and change the folder and the documents within. It is as if the ACL functionality does not work at all.

Is there an additional setting that I missed?

Hi Andrew,

the ACL are working fine.

Check whether your userid has the authorization object ACO_SUPER with the activity Admin. If you have this autorization you can read / change regardless of the ACL.

The authorization object ACO_SUPER was added to the DMS tcodes (CV01N, CV02N, etc.). So when they added these tcodes to a role, this authorization object with added by default. We have remedied that situation. Thank you Iring.
