Dear Expert,

i have one scenario in my company.

i have rate contract with my OEM customer.

Anybody tell me how can i implement rate contract in SAP?

Means i have maintained rate of material for a month.

this rate is applicable for particular customer.

In SAP there is any standard process where we can configure such process.

this is not value contract.

Hi,

It is nothing but Value Contract in SAP.

Create a Value Contract for X material with Rate Rs.1000 per pic

and put the Validity period of Contract from 12.04.2010 to 12.04.2011

and in the Value of the Contract field Put the Total Value of the Contract i.e Rs.1000 * Qty..

for Value Contract the System will not Check the Qty, but it will check the Contract value should not exceed the Contract Value..

Thanks & Regards,

thanks for reply.

but i am talking about a rate contract not value contract.

how this requirement fulfill in value contract.

whatever you are saying its saying value contract.

In value contract there in only one field i.e. target value and another is value release.

so where we can maintain rate per piece.

Hi,

I think you are talking about Rental contract wherein you want to charge fixed amount to customer every after particular time

Then you can use standard sales doc type "W V" i.e. Service and Maintenance Contract, make a copy of it.

Use item category as W V N, create periodic billing plan and assign the same at Item level (VOV7) or at header level (VOV8)

Create contract in VA41 enter the validity period from-to. Enter the qty you want so that pricing will take place for those qty.

Enter the amount to be charged periodically in condition tab, it will come in billing plan tab, and finally create invoice when you want to charge the customer

Hope you get some inputs

Thanks sagar for reply.

but my scenario is not comes in rental contract.

my scenario is totally different, again i am explaining my business scenario.

i have one customer i. e OEM customer, this is something different from other customer.

i have a rate agreement for this customer i.e. lower price than other customer.

this agreement is valid for every month.

this price is change every 5th of the month according to agreement.

rate agreement means base price is fixed for material excluding other charges & discount.

so i want to implement such scenario in SAP.

i cant fulfill this requirement through value contract.

Hi,

you can create Assortment for a group of materials or specific material for a certain custoemr by WSO1.

maintain the price for a combination of this Assortment and the customer, and update the price conditio record every month.

in a value contract, enter this assortment and get the updated price.

how does this sound

Hi,

It means you processing normal sales scenario but there is validity for rate i.e. it changes every after 4 months.

If I am right then simply create condition record for the condition type having customer / material combination for base price and put the validity period for 4 months.

So that condition record will be valid for 4 months only and in 5th month again you change the price and exten the validity period for another 4 months

Hope you get some inputs

Sagar

Hi Ajit,

You may try and maintain condition records based on the customer combination and maintian the validity date of condition records as per your requirement.
