BI Authorization : Navgational Attribute Restriction.

Hi ALL.

For BI 7.0 system , I have a query with Navigational Attribute ZPLNT_GRP .The characteristic is 0PLant.

The i/p to query is company code;ZPLNT_GRP and date.

However, i/p for ZPLNT_GRP is not mandatory .

The requirement is when the user executes the query , he should be able to see data for what he is authorized to.

User in this case is authorized to 0palnt = * which is set in analysis authorization in rsecadmin.

Regards

Ajit.

Hi Ajit,

Check SAP Note 1053989 - Intervals and Patterns [(*),(+)] inAnalysis Authorizations. Have you maintainede value authorization operator with specific plant value.

Hope this helps.

Hi Ajit,

You can restrict to navignational attribute as well. In t-code RSD1 goto 0PLANT and under nav. atrr. tab search for ZPLNT_GRP and scroll horzontally. Please make sure that auth. check box is activated for ZPLNT_GRP. Once it is done then in query make ZPLNT_GRP as char. restiction variabe and select processing type as authorization.

Best Regards
