Query Regarding EHP1

Hi,

My current patch ST-SER-700_2008_1 is at level 5. Now for SAP DVM session I have to updated this to ST-SER 2008_2 patch level 3.

I have download patch ST-SER-701_2008_2, but it is not getting updated via SPAM.My question is do I have to upgrade our SOLMAN to SAP Netweaver EHP1 and then try uploading ST-SER-701_2008_2 patches.

Please guide me.

Its an addon and you should try using SAINT.

Also iot has dependance on ST addon.

Yes, once you upgrade it to Ehp1 ST-SER version will be changed to 701_2008_2. You could include all patches along with upgrade packages, it'll patch it to the latest together.

Thanks for your replies. I was not able to perform this on SAOLAM 4.0(my version).

Reason being there is no CRT for SAPKB70017, 18 and 19.

SAP says:

It is technically not possible to apply by SPAM support packages

SAPKB70018 and higher. There will always be some conflicts or other

problems.

The only supported way is for you to up"date" (not up"grade") EPM to

SolMan 7.0 EHP1 SPS22.

This is described in the update guide on Service Marketplace at

service.sap.com/patches > upgrade guides > SolMan > EHP1

On the marketplace you even have a nice demo movie that explains how to

update. You find it in the middle under "Spotlight".

Hence DVM session was performed without SOLMAN at my place.

I don't quite understand your question, are you looking to upgrade your Solution Manager to 701 or just want to patch it to the latest 700 support package stack?

Solution manager doesn't use SAPEHPI technology instead it uses SPAM.

He might have meant that in his post.

when you patch up to SP18(it includes 701 release), which is called as EHP1 release for solman 7.0.
