Hi Experts - I'd like to know from you how strong the current footprint of SAP GDS is.
How many reference implementations does SAP have? Are there any implementation papers on the integration aspects with SAP PI / middleware tools?
I have found one helpful document "SAP for Global Data Synchronization - Unleash the Potential for Collaboration" but I also like to get your view on this product.
Thanks for sharing.
Mathias.
Hi Mathias,
I feel that current footprint of SAP GDS is really Strong. As lot of companies has implemented SAP GDS successfully like Colgate Palmolive, Johnson and Johnson and Kimberly Clarke etc.
Are there any implementation papers on the integration aspects with SAP PI / middleware tools?

Hi,
For reference implementations of GDS, you can directly check with SAP.
Just in case you have missed, I would suggest you to go through [Colgate-Palmolive on the Benefits of Global Data Synchronization|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/elearn?rid=/library/uuid/e07f4ea8-6cba-2c10-5793-fbbdc6a03a29&overridelayout=true] Video cast which is available on the [Home page of MDM GDS on SDN|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/bpx/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/7009e3a4-bdb4-2c10-b3a3-ea4700cbf6c3] [original link is broken];.
At the Home page of SAP GDS, you can find link to various functional and technical documents on GDS. Also in the section [MDM GDS Technical Documentation|https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000721197&]
you can find MDM GDS configurations guides too.
Hope this will help..
Regards,
Shiv
