Hi, All

I am new to MDM, Can any1 help me by providing the detials on

1. What is MDM & Uses of MDM ?

2. Which are the areas can be improved by implementing MDM ?

3. What are all the documents need to study ?

4. Can any1 send document to understand overall MDM

5. I have dome SAP(MM), But working in MDM field. so How can I utilise my MM knowledge in MDM

Hi Padma,

I guess you have already gone through a lot of dicuments to understand what exactly MDM is and how do you go about implementing.

Having an MM background would definately helps if u implementing a project in the MM Functional area. MDM being a lot of a techno functional tool a good knowledge of the functional expertise helps in designing the landscape well and understanding the flow and type of data. Technically it is simple to create the table and schdule data flows. But what type of data flows, how it flows and some other questions would be well answered byt the Functional Domain expertise.

It is very helpful to design datamodel of MDM If you have sap-mm knowledge.And also helpful to design repository as per the business demands.Overal its easy to understand the business process and how to map in MDM.
