Hi guys - I had one of those days. I had 4 volumes for sapdata 1-4. I ran out of space and without thinking I created a directory as sapdata5 and added a huge datafile to it. (several datafiles).
I had the unix administrator create the file systems. Can I simply delete the datafiles and recreate them in new filesystem or should I resize and move them? Can you please tell me how?
-rw-r----- 1 oracsx dba 2097160192 Mar 31 17:01 sr3701.data11

Hi,
Instead of deleting and recreating, you should MOVE it to different location...
You can use BRTOOLS to do this..
Run BRTOOLS.
2 - Space management
6 - Move data file
(Enter the details of your datafile which need to move to different location and continue..)
