Guru's
We have installed SAP GUI 710 SP16,and we have many systems to access ECC6,BI7,SCM7,KW,SRM and etc..
I know SAP GUI is common for all instances. But BI 7 needs additional patch level.
Is there a different SAP GUI patches for SCM,SRM,KW and etc..

Why you think so ?
For KW are separate patch awailable --> Try to check
Support Packages and Patches - Entry by Application Group" SAP Frontend Components" SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS" SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 7.10 CORE --> on infopage you will see all component's not including in CORE 7.10 like as -->
BW 3.5 ADDON
BI 7.0 ADDON
KW ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.10
SAP Screenreader Extensions
ECL Viewer 6.0
SAP Console 7.10
Also from other side's are awailable ADOBE LIVECYCLE DESIGNER if it need in your company and used in SAP installation server. Regards.
Yes i agree, different ADDONS available in SAPGUI. But these addons will not be installed or available with SAP Standard Patches, mean addon will be optional and these addons are available for integrating 3rd party tools like ADOBE LIVECYCLE DESIGNER or new features(sure it will not be specific). If any new features are must, it will be part of standard SAPGUI patch release, for that notes will be released.
for integrating 3rd party tools
I do not think that KW-add on are 3-dr party tool, in 6.40 and 7.10 before compilation 2 all this add-on's are installed from
one EXE programm if you know, only for tehnical reason this add-on's are separated in Compilation 2 ....
(it's about Installation server)
In any case if Jim Martin2009 uses KW in landskape the KW-addon need to be installed and after patched ...
Regards.
