Automatic posting could be, posting of accounting documents to FICO once invoice is created which can also be controlled manually. Automatiaclly determine the freight while pricing in ship doc. and post to the relevant account to fico. usually automatic posting is posting of documents to FICO based on various account keys and account groups.

Hi,

When you save the invoice in VF01, the Values will be posted to Accounting. If the invoice will be posted to accounting, then only the values will be updated to respective General Ledger Account.

If you set the automatic posting in VOFA, the system will post the values to the respective General Ledger Accounts immediately once you save the invoice. That is

Customer A/C Debit

Revenue A/C Credit

Discount A/C Credit

Sales Tax A/C credit

If you do not select automatic posting in VOFA, you have to release the invoice to accounting manually.
