Can any one help me and suggest the way ?

Shipping Industry wants to impliment the SAP SD Module for their business.

Please guide me can i impliment SAP SD for Shipping Industry also suggest me some documents, material, links for the same

Mostly shipping industry needs SAP SD Transportation module.

Hi Vishwajit,

Can you just tell me SAP SD Transportation module can be implimented for doing all sales order to billing and invoice.

If Yes then please clear that SAP SD is different than SAP Transportation or the trasnportation can be map through SAP SD Functionality.

as required by business process u can imp sd also but you will not fulfill all requirement with sd some shipping companies use cs model because 90 % is of services

As mention by you there are only 10% usage for SAP SD,

Can you just give few processes as an example in SAP SD, which i can map in SAP SD Module ...

While a company in shipping industry be it a common carrier or freight forwarder, has requirements that while notionally can be viewed as services, do not mapped well in CS which has its roots in PM.

Major topics in transportation industry will most likely be fleet management, load planning and if you are in international shipments, multi-modal transporation and customs and tariffs will be important. I suggest you look into LE transportation and foreign trade/global trade management for internation shipping.

Frank
