Hi All,
I am facing a very peculiar problem in my system.
I am creating a R/3 RFC connection to another system from my system.
the test connection is working fine.
However, the 'test authorization' is failing with the error 'username or password is incorrect'.
however, the username and password both are perfectly alright and I am able to login with the same when i change the RFC user to dialog user and try it.
I tried giving my user ID and password in the RFC, but still it fails with the same error allthough my userID/password otherwise work.
I am sure someone else must have faced this problem. Please let me know if you have a solution.
Regards,
Santosh Bhat
Dear Santosh,
Please try this option.
1. use tcode secstore and select the application : RFC destinations. it will show whats is the exact error.
2. Check your RFC user id. change the pwd for both the system (source and destination).
3. some times RFC user doesnot hav aut for doing RFC. so you can try to give SAP_ALL and let check its working or not.
I have done samething in past.
I hope it will help you.

Hi Santosh,
Are you using SAPJSF user for RFC connection for other system.
Check the connection parameters and update the host file for other system.
Then test it.

Hi Juan,
the source is a XI 3.0 system and the target is ECC 6.0 system.
so, like you said, password downward compatibility can be an issue.
however, I am not able to pinpoint what exactly could be the problem.
hi Manasvi,
Validity is fine.
Have changed the password and tried. Still the same problem:(

Santosh
Hello Santosh,
JUst check once again if you are able to login to the target system with this user and password. if yes, then leave the user to a dialog user and save the details again in the RFC details and try again.
This will work.
Best Regards
NIraj
