WebService Client Request Timeout

Former Member

I am facing this issue:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/JSTSG/(WSR)Problems-P01

The solution described there doesn't apply to our system-environment because we don't have an AS Java (and thus we can't access the Visual Administrator).

Is it possible to change the "WS Clients Socket Timeout" in the ABAP Stack?

Kind regards,

Tanja

Hi Tanja,

Need more info on what you are doing please. Are you using a consumer proxy?

If you're using a consumer proxy then when you create your logical port, in the port config (under messaging tab) there are timeout setting options.

I am using the (non-managed) BI Java SDK to access the XMLA-Interface of our SAP-BW.

Everything works fine until i request to much data (i.e. the request lasts longer than 60 Seconds).

I don't know what a consumer proxy is...

Hi Tanja,

How did you do your config for the XMLA-Interface in SAP-BW to be a webservice provider? Did you setup an endpoint for it?

No, that's not necessary.

The xmla-interface just has to be activated in transaction SICF.

Hello everybody.

We've got the same problem in the same environment - non managed connections wuth help of BI Java SDK via XMLA-interface.

Does some officials have an answer about this exception?

I contacted SAP, but until now in only got solution-proposals that involved the visual administrator.
