SAP Inst Error

Dears,

while installing SAP 4.7, i m getting below error in SAPInst Log,

MOS-01012 PROBLEM: 'C:\usr\sap\P01\SYS\exe\run/startsap name=P01 nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=p01' returned with '-1' which is not a defined as a success code.

could u please give your answer in details

The error message means that your SAP system could not be started.

Please the check appropriate logs (dev_disp, dev_w0) in the instance work directory.

still i didnt start SAP Sys. i stop the installation and check up SAPinst log, could you please elaborate more with the solution for this problem

sapinst tried to start the system.

Without the mentioned logs it's impossible to help you.

Used hostname is correct ?

Post the last error contents of sapinst_dev.log file.

i have this error Log in windows event log

This error is not related to your problem.

Please check the "application" event log.

that's an event ID - fine - what do you expect me to do with that?

No offense but it's very tedious to help you, I suggest you check those first errors appearing and post some error text here. Just posting an event ID won't help anything.

If you have no idea what went wrong I suggest you open an OSS call (in component BC-INS) and let the support have a look on your system - this may be the best idea to help you quickly.
