Budget Validation Check at Reservation Creation

Dear All,

I have issue as given below:

While creating the Reservation system doesnu2019t check the Budget and not

stop the Users.

Mostly users are facing the stated problem whenever Issue the Running

stock Material in a particular projects. If in a particular WBS element

the sanction budget got almost exhausted & then users can create the

Reservations then Budget overrun message will comes only to the useru2019s

knowledge when the issue passes will be posted.

A Validation of Budget Check at Reservation Creation stage to be

development to stop the user if there will be any overrun in that

Project.We want Budget Avilability Check at Reservation Creation Level.

Do we have any Standard notes fro this issue?

OR

Which user exit is suggestable for this case? please suggest

Yes it is correct that it is SAP standard Behavior.

Reason / logic behind is:

When ever you issue STORE on your internal activity, system Generates Reservation.

As material component is already purchased and expense is been booked, so why to book expense again while issuing the stock from store??

This is only a suggestion from my side and even I am not sure whether it will work out or not...May be you can try it.

there is an exit available when you save reservation, may be you can use that to check for the budget against the WBSE. EXIT_SAPMM07R_001

Yes you are right this is standard system behaviour. This is quite interesting topic/ overvation as well.

Reservations do not generate any commitments in the R/3 system. As resevation is something you have booked for your future requirement, but not consumed.

For budget anyway when you put actaul cost at that time system is cheking your budget. So, I thinkg this is standarad behavour

And I doubt that if some exit can solve your purpose, becaseu it is quite diff. than what SAP Budgeting functionality is designed as of now ? If the same is there than it would be quite good functionaliyt to offer to business.

If someone has differenet opinion please share. Quite interesting.
