Dear Guru,
do you know the meaning of the 20 digit of the field PLMK-STEUERKZ (Cntrl Indicator String for Insp. Char./Master Insp. Char)?
This field is compose, for example, in the following way: XX XX = .X X.
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Alberto
Each character represents one of the control indicators of an inspection characteristic. For the most part they are a either an X or blank. i.e they are one or off. in few cases, like for scope, you might find different characters. I think it is a + for larger scope, - for smaller scope, X for fixed scope, and null for no scope. i know off the top of my head that is held in the eight character position.
i don't know exactly which character is which control indicator but it is easy enough to find out. Select a characterisitc, run SE16 and check the values. Then change one control indicator, refresh SE16 and see which one changed. There are a total of 30 characters available in the field but I think only like 16 or so are actually used.
