Can you please elaborate your requirement . In general configuring the alert description is completely under our control. The macro description field in the alert output will have the name of the alert macro . The description field will get the value of the alert text . So if you do not want to see the date value then all you have to do is remove the date parameter from the alert text.
There is also a custom BAPI available to manipulate the alert display. But iam not sure what your exact requirement is . Please elaborate
