A customer asked whether he can use the SAP database to store original files of SAP Document Management Systems.
Technically he could use the data carrier SAP-SYSTEM or DMS_C1_ST to do this, but we assume, that this is not recommended by SAP for productive systems.
Any views on this?
Appreciate it!
Thanks
Hi,
It is possible to use the SAP Database for storing the Documents of SAP DMS .
SAP recommends to use separate content server for storing the Document of DMS.
The reason is space utilization, performance issue of system so it is always better to have a separate DMS content server.
Hope it is clear now.
Regards
Shiv
