restricting the same material in multiple line times in sales order

my clients want to restrict the same material code should not repeat in single sales order va01.

Hi

Standard SAP has no such limitation. Youl will need have a user exit written in routine move_field_to_vbap where you will need to take the material number of vbap and read table xvbap to see if there is already an entry with the same material number and the update indicator is I ( insert) or U (update). If an entry is found, display error message.
