Error in Installation of ERP 6.0 EHP4 Ready SR1

Hi,

I am installing SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4 ready on Linux. Sapinst reported error at phase 26 (Start Instance). Error text is as follows:

"Instance SID/DVEBMGS00 reaches state UNKNOWN after having state starting. Giving up."

sapinst_dev.log is as under:

"ERROR 2010-03-28 11:00:34.281 [sixxcstepexecute.cpp:950]

FCO-00011 The step start with step key |NW_ABAP_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|NW_CI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|11|0|NW_CI_Instance_Start|ind|ind|ind|ind|2|0|start was executed with status ERROR ."

I tried my best to resolve the issue but couldt not find any solution.

Kindly hep me to resolve the issue at your earlist.

Hi,

Please check if the database is running or not. Try to connect to the database and if database is fine then paste the log of dev_w0

Hi,

Manaully try to start SAP and check what error you get.

If SAP does'nt start then check the startlog file of SAP.

when I tried to start the instance manually it giving me the message instance DEV started but sapinst still giving the same mesage. Following is the startsap log:

Check whether you are able to connect to SAP or not.

If not, then check the log suggest by JUAN.

Juan, should I send you the dev_w0 and dev_disp logs via email, it will be easier for you to analyze these files.

the error that you pasted is generic error code.

can you paste the traces above this error from the sapinst_dev.log file. that will give proper insights about the error.
