BOM and Availability check

Former Member

Hi Gurus,

I am using Main Item with Item category group ERLA and Sub item with Item category group LEIH(Returnable packaging).

Item category for Main item is TAQ.

Item category for Sub item is TAL (ORLEIH +TAQ = TAL)

I am creating a sales order for the main material, then BOM explodes and sub item are generated.

I have maintained stock for sub item only and there is not stock for the main item.

When i am creating a delivery(no stock for main item) from Order then the sub item are copied into delivery.

My scenario is that the sub item should not come into delivery if there is no stock for main item.

Please kindly suggest me with a soultion.

Thanks.

Kannan

Hi Kannan,

When you have no stock for the main item system should throw an error message that only "0 Pcs" of material available right? If you are getting the subitems copied into delivery , you can define a requirment( copy requirement) routine and assign it to the copy control at the item level in "VTLA". Or If it is for a particular customer, just tick complete delivery required by law filed in shipping tab of customer master. Kindly please let me know If you need any more information.
