ERROR_WHEN_CREATING_THE_XML.

Hi Gurus,

during the implementation of the Setup Wizard for Managed System in Diagostic I get ERROR_WHEN_CREATING_THE_XML.

The reference 1332421 has been installed. The landscape consists only of Java systems, all other landscapes

(Work ABAP / JAVA or ABAP).

Any hint for this problem.

Accoring to me LM-SERVICE SP17 P 5 should fix this problem.

I missed something in my previous post

Please apply the following section from SAP Note 1156714:

If the problem persists after all invalid '#' chars have been removed from Database Release fields in SMSY: it may happen the invalid data is still present in XML files cached on Diagnostics side. The solution is then to delete all such XML files using the following procedure:

- Start Visual Admin tool on Diagnostics System

- Go to server -> services -> Configuration Adapter

- Drill down to

cluster_data->server->persistent->smdserver->XmlRepository->SMD->[Serve

rName] where [ServerName] is the server name reported in the error

popup when running the Setup Wizard.

- Delete the [ServerName] node

- Repeat this operation for all [ServerName] reported in the error popup

when running the Setup Wizard.

- Restart the setup wizard

As mentioned earlier, apply the latest LM-Service this will surely fix the issue.

Your question:

Could we patch LM-SERVICE to SP5 for EHP1 without patch to EHP1?

my answer -> No. It is not possible.

yes our current patch LM-SERVICE 7.00 SP17 (1000.7.00.17.3.20081203132539)

at the moment we use LM-SERVICE SP17 . All other applications at SP16. At this time we do not plan to patch to EHP1.

Could we patch LM-SERVICE to SP5 for EHP1 without patch to EHP1?
