Dear all

We are using SAP ECC on windows 2003. We are having a partition named as SWAP. It is filled around 96% (from total space of 96 GB). It doesn't refresh even with retart of the system. Please suggest me that how can I refresh it, as it is showing warning when I monitor the file system using ST06?

Hi,

Are you saying the partition is 96% full from My computer when you look at it ?

or

are you saying the 96GB partition is using 96% of the 96GB in the swap details ST06.

What is you systems RAM ?

Dear Mark

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I want to say that my partition is of 97.8 GB and 96% of it. When I check the space using My computer it is showing that 96% of total space on the partition has been used.

My System RAM is of 32GB.

Hi,

It will always say that.....

Your swap is the Windows Pagefile. So it will always be resident and never change, unless you change the pagefile size

nothing is wrong..

Hi,

That SWAP Partition is Stripped or on RAID Level ?

I would allocate the SWAP space from more than one partition which are on different Disks, to achieve I/O performance.

If the partition is stripped or on RAID level, then do not worry about the space warnings.
