Problems With the Logging on and Mangement Console

Hi All,

I successfully installed the SAP Netweaver Trial a few days ago on my Windows Vista PC. Everything was working fine. However, I am not able to log on any more. I am constantly recieving this message when logging on:

partner '127.0.0.1:sapdp00' not reached

From the Mangement console I can see that sapcpe.exe and strdbs.cmd "could not be started". I think my loop back adapter is setup accordingly so I am not sure how these guys are not properly starting. Can anyone please give me some help? Thanks.

Hi John,

Please update your server IP address and host name in host file entry at (Start > RUN > drivers > etc > host file)

Check loop back adapter for new IP and Then try again.

Thanks for your response; however I have already checked the host file and the loop adapter. Both have the correct IP address. Any other suggestions?

Did you manage to fix this problem? I am running into this as well. I had installed the trial on a Windows 2003 Amazon EC2 instance. I shut the system down after use and when I restarted, it is giving me the same problem. My hosts file has a single line

127.0.0.1 localhost

Is that what's in yours as well?
