Service cannot be reached

Hi Experts!!

I am trying to run webdynpro Demo application from SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version.

tcode SE80 installed in my laptop on xp pro.I m getting following error.

Service cannot be reached


What has happened?
URL http://mycomp:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/demo_flash_flight call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
 
  
Note

The termination occurred in system NSP with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden. 
The selected virtual host was 0 . 
 
  

What can I do?
Please select a valid URL. 
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Hi,

Since you are saying that SAP is installed in your laptop hope loopback is configured and IP is configured to the laptop. If yes then in the url below, inplace of <hostname>, place the IP address and try.

http://mycomp:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/demo_flash_flight

http://<ipaddress:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/demo_flash_flight

Also, try making the entry in host file.

Hi Anee

You need to activate the webdynpro service in the SICF transaction. As you have newly install the SAP NetWeaver 7.01 ABAP Trial Version, all the service are not automatically activated.

Please go to T-code SICF >> Execute >> Default Host >> sap >> bc >> Webdynpro >> Right click on it >> Activate all service

Once activated, try to run your WD applciation, it will work.

Hi,

Check in SICF , where in required webdynpro any username and password is maintained .

If yes , remove it and login the administrator id or any user have required authorization.
