Local Client Copy error

Hi,

While performing Local client copy in one of our ECC production system

in client copy post processing, we are getting below error

Error or termination in target client: Time limit exceeded.

Automatic postprocessing of client 400 was terminated -> long text

The client copy needs to be post-processed - see long text

Last transport object: FINB-TR-DERIVATION (component FINBASIS)

ERROR: Type "F" user exit with SYS_ERROR: FINB_TR_CC_EXIT_TARGET

Please suggest

We followed the SAP Note 1235955 and run the report solved the issue.

Hi,

Error or termination in target client: Time limit exceeded.

This intimates to a remote client copy, and it also to me inimates your useing parallel processings which although

uses a baground job parallism uses Dialog.

What is your rdisp/max_wprun_time set to in the target system. Your can dynamically change this if your on a recent release of SAP.

set rdisp/max_wprun_time to "0" in RZ11. Remember to re-set that value after client copy has terminated.

Hi,

For FINBASIS* component, this error is common.

In your case as all the tables have been copied successfully, only manual post processing has to be performed. Check the file logs of client copy. While clicking on Blue highlighted post processing hyperlink; you will be navigated to SPRO transaction. just execute the steps manually.

Check in your source client, SAP* (being used in client copy) might be locked or invalid due to which this error occured.

There is a simple cure to avoid this problem in future.

Please make a note to reset the user (being used in client copy) in both source and target client before starting the Client copy to avoid termination of Client copy by " Application Error " . If error happens kindly perform the post processing manually mentioned in the File log.

Hi Harish,

When did you run your database statics update??

If you run it long back....then stopt the client copy now....first run the databse statics update. Then restart the client copy.

Hi Harish,

Are you running the client copy in foreground? Probably that's why it got terminated saying

Error or termination in target client: Time limit exceeded.

Run it in background.

Hi,

I scheduled the client copy in background only, but it is ended with the above error.

After restarted the client copy post processingin foreground,but post processing was continuing for hours with out giving any error.

We have cancelled the client copy and rescheduled the total client copy in background, then also post processing continuing with out giving any errors.

I am not sure what kind of post processing you are doing in a local client copy. Post processing is done in RCC (Remote Client Copy) or Client export-import.

Paste the contents of log which you can find in SCC3 transaction.

Agree with Ramesh. Might be taking time to update the database statistics if that was run long ago.

I am getting the same error in SRM system while performing a local client copy, It has terminated in post processing phase Table Name Component Package

/SAPCND/CC_GROUP_WS_NG AP-PRC-CON Post-Processing Required

Can you please let me know the way ahead.
