Popup window of Web Dynpro hangs up by Clicking the ESC button

Hello!

I have the trouble in Web Dynpro while using the Firefox browser.

All the popup windows hang up when user clicks the ESC button.

Can you please suggest how to avoid this bug?

Hi Maria,

There are quite a lot of things which would bring the issue to the limelight.

First and foremost, check the version of Firefox. Firefox 3 has come up with some new features which support Series based web browsers. Also, as the firefox is the open source, there is a possibility that many other codes might be running in the background paralelly while working with WDA.

For the most ERP based applications, IE6 from SP1 is best supported and mostly preferable.

Please check the same.

We use the last version of FF - 3.6.

In IE that works fine. But according to the customer reqirements our applications will be used in FF.

What release of NetWeaver are you on (7.0 or 7.01)? You should check the PAM (Platform Availability Matrix - http://service.sap.com/pam ), as the difference levels of Firefox require a certain support package level to be supported.

According to the PAM, the highest supported release level of Firefox is 3.5 and that is only as of SP21 of 7.0 and SP6 of 7.01. Also you probably want to look at note 1296463 for browser specific issues in the related notes.
